Frequently Asked Questions

We receive many calls a day asking questions. Here are some of the frequently asked questions we get. If your question is not answered here, please call us at (207) 582-8694 to see how we can help you out.

  • Do I need an appointment for an estimate?

    No. Walk ins are always welcome. Estimates are available 7:30 to 4:30 Mon - Fri and by appointment for after or before hours.

  • Do I need more than one estimate?

    No. It is important for you to select a repair facility you trust and can count on.

  • My Insurance company referred me to a different repair facility, but I prefer to use Daniel's. What should I do?

    You have the right to choose any repair facility. Your insurance company cannot require you to go to a particular shop. Inform your insurance company you want to work with Daniel's.

  • What is a DRP (Direct Repair Shop) shop?

    These providers have met specific requirements in area of training, quality, customer service, and possess a state of the art equipment necessary for the best possible repair to your vehicle. We meet AND exceed these requirements for many insurance companies

  • Do you provide a rental car?

    Unfortunately, no. You can, however, arrange for a rental while your car is being repaired and they can meet you at our shop. Check your insurance policy. You may already have coverage.

  • Do I have to use aftermarket parts?

    No. All insurance companies have different guidelines and may require the use of aftermarket or OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) parts.

  • Who is responsible for payment to the repair facility?

    The owner of the vehicle is ultimately responsible for payment for all repairs. You may instruct your insurance company to make payment directly to Daniel's on your behalf. We can assist you on clarification of payments. Remember to clarify any deductible amounts or questions you may have. Your portion is not required until completion of all repairs and you pick up your vehicle.
